SABRINA KUNERT
Sabrina graduated in Film Studies and Literature from Freie Universität Berlin with a focus on multi-level analysis of audiovisual storytelling.
Since 2003 she has worked on various film projects, including „The Reader“ and „Valkyrie“ and realized several short film productions.
For six years she has been a festival venue manager for the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), where she was mainly in charge of the prestigious „Friedrichstadt-Palast“ theater.
She worked for TASCHEN Publishers as a researcher and essayist on publications on film.
Since 2015 she is a master student at the Department of Arts and Media Administration at the Freie Universität Berlin.
DAVID GAERTNER
Since 2008 David is a scholar of film history, aesthetics and analysis at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he teaches regularly.
David worked as a film journalist, researcher and essayist for Deutsche Kinemathek, TASCHEN Publishers and critic.de and published books and essays on genre cinema and cinematic experience.
He also worked on international film and television projects since the early 2000s in various positions. His was involved in the production of the feature film "Ripley‘s Game", as well as in the primetime Emmy award-winning show "The Amazing Race".
His research on the rhetorics of the war film genre contributed to the development of a new empirical and cross-media analysis method of audiovisual content.
